Tara and Daniel | Nashville Wedding Photographer

I had the honor of shooting the wedding of Tara and Daniel last month.  I have known Tara for years and Daniel I met in the spring.  They are both such precious people and it was a joy to spend the day with them and share in this celebration of their marriage.  It was such a wonderful day and it poured rain but only when we were inside so we were able to get all our pictures done on the beautiful grounds at Traveller’s Rest.

Thankful for my second shooter Erin Melissa that helped capture these moments of Daniel getting ready.

Such a sweet first look.  I so love when couples decide to do this.  It decreases the stress of the day by getting all the pictures out of the way.  I remember how calm I was after I saw my husband at our first look.  It was an honor to capture these moments of joy.

They also wrote letters to each other that they shared after the first look.

Beautiful flowers by the talented Kaitlin Grubbs.

Beautiful Bride!!

Daniel’s dad is a pastor so he got to marry them!

Lauren Bokesch was the wedding coordinator for the day.

Instead of a cake, they had an ice cream sunday bar.  So yummy!

Sarah Catherine and Eric | Nashville Family Photographer

I love photographing families.  It is especially sweet when it is a family I have watched grow over the years.  Even though these dear friends live in Chicago, I still get to capture moments when they come to Nashville to visit family.  I was even more overjoyed to hear on this visit that their family is about to grow by one more!  It was quite the adventure to run around in the field and stomp in the creek with these fun kids.  I loved it all.  I could have played all day with this sweet crew.

These next 3 are all the sweetness of this age.  Their joy makes me so happy.

So sweet to watch my dear friend comfort her son.

I am so glad I captured S.C.’s laugh.

I try to encourage clients to bring an item that is dear to little ones.  I love that she brought along this baby.  I love this stage.  So much.

Mei | Nashville Portrait Photographer

So I named this post Millie Mei because this is the new name my daughter is trying out as she transitions into middle school.  I wanted to document this time in her life as she is still pre-teen and figuring out her way.  Millie was a name we thought about calling her when we brought her home from China but Mei Mei just stuck.  These portraits capture some of the beauty and spunk of our sweet girl.  She had so much fun “modeling” and chasing the setting sun with me.

baby Emmett | Nashville Newborn Photographer

My husband and I have known Emily and Jason for many years.  Even before they were dating!  It was fun to watch God bring them together and get married and even better to watch their family expand with this new sweet boy, Emmett!  It was wonderful to spend an afternoon in their home and shoot this newborn session of this precious child that many have prayed for.

I really enjoy shooting a documentary style newborn sessions because I get to know the family even more and see the special details in the nursery.  Sweet letters above his crib and a sweet blanket all handmade by family members.

Jason is from Texas so we had to put Emmett in this! He is so adorable!

Julie | Nashville Portrait Photographer

My friend Julie called me to take portraits for her to use as she gets her music career off the ground.  It was fun having her in my home studio.  I wish you could hear how amazing she is at playing the guitar.  I am sure one day you will see her somewhere:)
