Jen + Andy | Nashville Family Photographer

These guys are not only dear friends of ours, but also our neighbors!  We have known them for years and were so excited when Nash was born!  It is fun to see them walking down our street sometimes.  We had a fun afternoon running around the park.

Nash is just so cute!!

I always encourage families to bring something that is special to the child at that stage in life.  Nash loves his yellow boots!

This next one is one of my favorites.  I love capturing sweet family moments.

We even snuck in some updated head shots for both parents!

Lisa and Stu | Nashville Wedding Photography

I had the great honor to photograph the wedding of Lisa and Stu about a month ago.  I have known Stu’s family for many years and just recently met Lisa.  It was wonderful to work with Lisa and I am so excited God is bringing these two families together.  They both have children already and Stu even has grandchildren.  I loved capturing these special moments.

I love this beautiful dress!  It was perfect for her.  She looked stunning.

I actually got very teary taking this picture.  I was thinking about how rare it is that people get to dance at their wedding reception with their grandchildren!  So beautiful.

I also saw this sweet moment happening on the dance floor and had to grab a couple pictures of Stu and his beautiful girls.

The wedding designer was Martha Greenwood at Big Events Inc.  They are wonderful ladies to work with.

Sonja + Bobby | Nashville Family Photography

I started this adventure into photography about 13 years ago when I bought my Canon film camera to learn to take pictures of my baby, Cooper.  That baby is now a teenager (13) and I love looking back at my pictures of my children and my family.  One of my favorite things to do as a child was to open up the side table at my grandmother’s house and bring out all the old family pictures of my mom growing up and hear my grandparents and family sit around and talk about their favorite memories.  I think this digital age has taken something very valuable away from us as families.  We don’t print our pictures any more.  They are usually not sitting around the house for kids to pick up and talk about them.  Sometimes the moms snap pictures as we go through life, but it  is hard to get in any pictures.  One reason I love taking family pictures is to make sure to get the moms in the pictures.  It is a legacy for the family.

My brother, Bobby, would sit on the floor with me as a child and look at the family pictures.  It was my honor to continue to add to my family legacy by capturing this moment in my brother’s history with his sweet family.  My sister-in-law, Sonja, is also a photographer and helped come up with some of these fun poses.  So fun!

Isn’t she beautiful?

This last one is such a classic family picture.  Sonja told the boys to pretend like they were fighting.  They came up with this pose pretty quickly and without any direction.  Pretty sure this will be one of those pictures that these kids will sit around one day and show their kids and laugh at and tell stories about.  This life is beautiful and something to treasure.  Let me know if you want me to capture some family memories for you!

Ivy | Nashville Maternity Photographer

This is my beautiful friend Ivy and it was so fun to capture these images of her and the life she is bringing into this world.  I love showing my friends how beautiful they are.  I also love that one day this baby in her belly will look back at these portraits and see how lovely her momma is.

Bethany | Nashville Beauty Photography

So this is Bethany.  She graduated from college this past May. I grabbed her one morning in the spring to help me with a new project.  My goal is to hire a hair and make-up artist to come into my home for a beauty make-over and photo shoot. I want to provide an experience for the everyday women to feel like a model. Recently, I set up a natural light studio in my house. Now I am excited to use new posing techniques to help women feel beautiful.  I still love chasing little kids around fields, but there is something I loved about directing a shoot too.  I also found this vintage dress and could not wait to use it in a photo shoot.Bethany did a wonderful job doing her own hair and make-up.  I want to provide an excuse for women to have a beautiful make-over with a hair and make-up artist. I will take portraits for them to treasure and share. Most women do not recognize their beauty, but I feel every women is beautiful. Sometimes we need a little help remembering that.I have been waiting to share this until my kids were back in school and the dust had settled.  Do you want to get pampered, or do you know someone else that would enjoy this?  Let’s find a time to come over to my house with a girlfriend or two and enjoying an experience like this?  Check back very soon for the next shoot of my beautiful friend that is pregnant.
